Geoffrey Cronkshaw

FORMER textile technologist Mr Geoffrey Cronkshaw, of Church Street, Newchurch, died on Tuesday 29 July, at Fairfield Hospital, Bury, aged 75.
Mr Cronkshaw previously worked at the Smith and Nephew, Courtaulds, John Bright and Swan Lane sites.
He was a member of St Nicholas’ Church, Newchurch and enjoyed walking, bird watching and cricket. He was also a keen Blackburn Rovers supporter.
He leaves his wife Barbara, son Nick, grandson Lewis, daughter-in-law Lisa, granddaughters Ella, Alix and Eve, sister Stella, brother-in-law John, sister-in-law Susan, nieces and nephews. He was father of the late Joanne.
His funeral is on Friday 8 August when the Rev Sue Davies will conduct a service at St Nicholas’ Church at 10.30am followed by cremation at Accrington at 11.40am.
