Salford City Reds 24 Wigan Warriors 50

30/ 4/2007

SALFORD coach Karl Harrison branded his team's defence a "disgrace" after they conceded 50 points to Wigan.

The Reds remain bottom of the engage Super League after a 50-24 home defeat to the Warriors, for whom Trent Barrett scored a hat-trick.

Prop Andy Coley scored two tries in 10 minutes as Salford matched their visitors stride for stride in the first half, but Wigan took apart the worst defence in Super League with five tries after the break.

Wigan ran in nine tries in all, three of them from the classy Barrett, while hooker Shane Millard's quick-fire brace around the hour mark dashed any hopes of a Salford comeback.
