College guard battered

A SECURITY guard was battered by robbers as he patrolled the Rochdale campus of Hopwood Hall College.
He was attacked by two men at about 5.30am on Sunday. They punched and kicked him before picking up his mobile phone from the floor and heading towards College Bank.
Both offenders were white. One was about 6ft 2ins tall, about 20 years old, with a shaven head and wore a blue and white striped top. The other was about 5ft 7ins, aged between 18 and 19 and wore black jeans and a jumper.
